Behind the Veil

The High Priestess sits upon her throne of wisdom at the Temple of Solomon. She guards the gate to the truth within: her realm, the subconscious. At some point on the Fool's journey we must hear and understand the whisperings that dwell in the shadows of the mind.  Their subtle, but powerful influence on our reality can greatly hinder our attempts to manifest, or they can propel us forward into our greatest potential.

This lively beguine features a complimentary Guajira rhythm on the piano. There is so much to be said about the meaning of this card that I wrote new lyrics for each chorus; the music for which has been adapted to this playful Latin arrangement from Gabriel Fauré's Après un rêve(After a dream.)
